Every person seeking substance use disorder treatment will have different needs. Our UniCare drug rehab in Massachusetts is an outpatient treatment center with multiple levels of care and flexible scheduling available. Our main treatment programs and services include:
The addiction day treatment program in Massachusetts at Northstar Recovery Center is our highest level of care. Comparable to a typical partial hospitalization program (PHP) or highly intensive outpatient program (HIOP) schedule, clients in our day program participate in treatment six days per week. The program meets from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM on weekdays and on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. During this time, you can expect to participate in a combination of groups, individual therapy sessions, 12-step meetings, family sessions, and other activities. Day treatment is immersive and structured, but unlike in inpatient drug rehab programs, clients are able to live off-site, whether at home or in sober housing.
Our intensive outpatient program in Massachusetts uses the same effective approach as our day treatment program. However, the time commitment is significantly lower. Clients in our intensive outpatient program (IOP) participate in treatment for three-hour-long sessions on treatment days, totaling about 18 hours per week. This makes it possible to balance obligations like work or school with treatment once you are ready. Some people start their journey in IOP; others step down to IOP after completing day treatment.
Many treatment centers do not offer evening programs. However, individuals seeking outpatient drug rehab services may have a variety of obligations, like work or caring for their family, that prevent them from attending therapy during the day. Multiple IOP schedules are available at Northstar Recovery Center, including morning, afternoon, and evening options. Our evening IOP meets from either 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM or from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on weekdays, depending on the location you choose.
In addition to our in-person treatment options, we’re proud to offer virtual addiction treatment in Massachusetts, covered by UniCare and other health insurance plans. You can opt to attend a fully online program at Northstar Recovery Center, such as our virtual PHP and virtual IOP, or you can participate in a combination of online and in-person therapy sessions.
