The day treatment program at Northstar Recovery Center meets six days per week. You will come to treatment from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday and on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. During that time, you will participate in groups, 12-step meetings, yoga, and other activities, such as family therapy. Your exact schedule will depend on your personal treatment plan and the location you attend. All clients participate in individual therapy sessions at least once per week. Comparable to a partial hospitalization program (PHP) or high-intensity outpatient program (HIOP), this level of care is immersive and highly structured.
The partial day treatment program at Northstar Recovery Center is a step below day treatment in intensity. Also known as an intensive outpatient program, this level of care involves three hours of treatment per day on designated days. As a partial day treatment client, you can choose from one of the following schedules.
- Morning: Meets from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
- Afternoon: Meets from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
- Evenings: Meets from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (Southborough) or 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM (West Springfield).
The flexible nature of partial day treatment is suitable for clients who need to balance obligations like work with drug and alcohol rehab. You can enter treatment at Northstar Recovery at this care level, or you can transition into partial day treatment after day treatment to ease your transition back into typical everyday life.
Northstar Recovery Center offers a virtual intensive outpatient program option. Rather than commute to one of our centers from Framingham throughout the week, this program lets you attend treatment entirely online from the privacy of your own home over secure virtual treatment sessions. We also offer hybrid scheduling, which combines virtual and in-person therapy.
Northstar Recovery Center understands the impact substance abuse can have on family members and other loved ones. In addition to family therapy, our Massachusetts-based addiction treatment centers offer family support groups for the adult loved ones of our current or former clients. Northstar family support groups meet on Monday evenings.
Before your time in treatment at Northstar Recovery Center comes to an end, we will help you create a personalized aftercare plan. Our treatment centers offer uniquely impactful alumni services, including alumni meetings and events, online support groups, medication assistance, and other resources, which may be a part of your aftercare process.
