Clients in this program attend Northstar Recovery Center from 9 AM to 3:30 PM throughout the week (Monday through Friday) and on Saturdays from 9 AM to 2 PM. During the day, you can expect to participate in a comprehensive schedule of group therapy sessions and other activities, like family therapy, depending on your needs. Individual therapy sessions occur at least once a week. This highly structured program will help you build new, healthy routines with optimal support from staff. It is comparable to a partial hospitalization program (PHP) or a highly intensive outpatient program (HIOP).
Our partial day treatment program is one step down from day treatment. Comparable to a typical intensive outpatient program, clients in the partial day treatment program at Northstar Recovery Center participate in three-hour sessions on treatment days. You will get to choose from the schedule that fits your needs best:
- Mornings: 9 AM to 12 PM.
- Afternoons: 12:30 to 3:30 PM
- Evenings: 6 PM to 9 PM (Southborough) or from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM (West Springfield).
This level of care can accommodate clients who need to balance work with addiction treatment services. You can start your treatment journey at Northstar with our partial day program, or you can step down to partial day treatment from day treatment once you're ready.
The virtual intensive outpatient program at Northstar Recovery Center is a convenient treatment option for clients in Milford and across the state of Massachusetts. Our virtual intensive outpatient program meets entirely online over secure and private sessions, so you will not need to commute to our center on treatment days. We also offer hybrid scheduling, which combines virtual and in-person treatment sessions.
During the aftercare planning process, we'll ensure that you have the ongoing support necessary to protect your sobriety and keep making progress. Northstar Recovery has a free alumni support program for former clients that offers meetings and events, online groups, medication assistance, and a wide variety of other resources.
