In 2025, Northstar Recovery Center leaned fully into video as a way to connect, educate, and meet people where they are. Over the course of the year, we shared nearly 70 new videos on our YouTube channel—ranging from alumni and family testimonials to admissions walkthroughs, service overviews, therapy explainers, and updates from our team.
Each video had a purpose: to reduce uncertainty, answer real questions, and offer a sense of hope to individuals and families navigating addiction and mental health challenges. Some focused on the logistics of getting help. Others centered on lived experience. All of them reflected our commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care.

#10. Addiction Treatment in Western Mass
First on our list of Northstar’s Top 10 videos of 2025 is an ad that we produced for WWLP 22News in Western Massachusetts. This 30-second spot highlights our West Springfield facility and individualized, trauma-informed approach to addiction treatment. Check it out!

We know that when someone is ready for help, every minute matters. In this video, Community Outreach & Admissions Coordinator, Adam, explains the Northstar admissions process–from the moment you pick up the phone and how we verify insurance, through how welcome you will feel on your first day with us.
#8. Coming to Northstar Changed My Life – Sydney
Sydney reached a tipping point where she realized she couldn’t stop drinking on her own. After going to inpatient treatment to get physically stabilized, she came to Northstar where she learned to find hope and happiness in living sober. Her testimonial is our eighth most-watched video of 2025.

In our seventh most-watched video of 2025, John shares how he saw himself change alongside his peers at Northstar Recovery Center, how he’s maintained his relationships and built a sober network, and the work he does in Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) to keep his sobriety for the long-term.

A dedicated member of the Northstar Alumni Program, Rene, reviews his experience addressing the root causes of his addiction in treatment with us. He explains how his perspective changed, how he’s changed as a person, and what lessons he carries with him today living in recovery. Rene recently celebrated 2 years of continuous sobriety!
#5. Northstar Family Support Group
Loving someone with a substance use disorder or mental health challenges can be confusing, painful, and deeply isolating. Whether your loved one is just starting treatment or has been on this journey for a while, it’s common to feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or alone. This video explains how Northstar supports family members and loved ones through our weekly Family Support Groups.

Northstar alum, George, shares about his experience in treatment at Northstar, the relationships he’s built and repaired in early sobriety, and his new outlook on life in recovery. The top ranking testimonial in our Top 10 videos of 2025 comes from Amanda, an alum of Northstar Recovery Center. As a young person in recovery, Amanda couldn’t picture a future without alcohol. Throughout her time at Northstar she learned the tools and mindset to lead a happy and fulfilling life in lasting sobriety.
