The day treatment program in Massachusetts at Northstar Recovery Center meets six days per week. Clients in our day treatment program attend our centers from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM during the week (Monday through Friday) and on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. During that time, you can expect to participate in various activities, including group sessions, individual therapy, yoga, and 12-step meetings, tailored to your personal needs.
Also called a highly intensive outpatient program (HIOP) or partial hospitalization program (PHP), day treatment provides structured care in an outpatient environment. This level of care can act as an alternative to or a step down from inpatient drug rehab.
The partial day treatment program at our centers is one step below our day treatment program in intensity. Clients at this care level attend Northstar Recovery Center for three-hour-long sessions on treatment days. Those interested in partial day treatment get to choose from one of the following schedules:
- Mornings: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
- Afternoons: 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
- Evenings: 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM (West Springfield) or 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (Southborough).
The reduced time commitment required for partial day treatment, also called an intensive outpatient program, is ideal for clients who need to balance commitments like work with drug and alcohol rehab. Some clients start with this level of care, while others transition into partial day treatment after completing day treatment.
The virtual intensive outpatient program at Northstar Recovery Center provides effective addiction treatment that meets entirely online. Clients in our virtual intensive outpatient program attend treatment sessions on a private and secure online platform. We also offer hybrid scheduling, which blends online and in-person therapy sessions.
Northstar Recovery understands the impact substance use disorders can have on loved ones. On top of family therapy sessions, we offer free family support groups for the adult loved ones of our current and former clients. Northstar family support groups are available at both of our locations, and they meet on Monday evenings.
Even after you graduate from treatment, Northstar Recovery Center will be here for you. Our free alumni program ensures that you will have continued support and a strong, sober community to turn to after treatment. This program offers a range of services, including but not limited to alumni events and reunions, online alumni groups, aftercare planning, medication assistance, and relapse prevention.
Northstar Recovery Centers is more than a drug rehab center. We also offer primary mental health care at the Partial Day treatment level at our Southborough location.
