Health New England Drug Rehab Programs
Here are the Health New England drug rehab programs and services at Northstar Recovery Center. Individuals and families are welcome to use their insurance benefits to cover the cost of any and all of our treatment options.
Our addiction day treatment programs in Massachusetts are comparable to a typical partial hospitalization program (PHP). Day treatment provides immersive and highly structured care in an outpatient environment. Clients in this program come to Northstar Recovery Center Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM and on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. You can expect to participate in groups, individual therapy sessions, 12-step meetings, and other activities (e.g., family therapy) on treatment days. A mixture of evidence-based therapies and supportive treatments is used to promote whole-person healing.
Our partial day treatment program in Massachusetts uses the same effective approach as our day treatment program. However, this program has a significantly lower time commitment. As an intensive outpatient program (IOP) client at Northstar Recovery Center, you will participate in three-hour-long sessions on treatment days. We have morning, afternoon, and evening IOP schedules available.
Our evening IOP schedule is ideal for clients who need to work or tend to other responsibilities during the day. Clients in the evening IOP at our Southborough location attend therapy from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, whereas clients in the evening IOP at our West Springfield location participate in sessions from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
Many people with substance use disorders will have one or more co-occurring mental health conditions, such as a mood, anxiety, or trauma disorder. As a dual-diagnosis treatment center in Massachusetts, Northstar Recovery Center helps clients with co-occurring disorders achieve the best possible treatment outcomes. For example, the treatment of co-occurring disorders can help to facilitate better psychiatric functioning, reduced substance use, and an improved quality of life.
We encourage family involvement in the treatment process when possible. Family therapy sessions are available to current clients and their family members. However, we take it a step further by offering support groups for loved ones of our current and former clients. Northstar family support groups are free and available at both of our centers.
In addition to our range of in-person treatment options, Northstar Recovery is proud to offer virtual addiction treatment in Massachusetts. Just like accepting health insurance expands treatment access, offering virtual addiction treatment means that more people are able to get the care they need. Clients receiving virtual addiction treatment through our centers join sessions using a secure online platform.
Clients in our programs may benefit from medications used to treat some types of substance use disorders alongside therapy services. We provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) in Massachusetts when it is beneficial to the individual.
