Our addiction day treatment programs in Massachusetts provide intensive therapy and supportive activities six days per week. Clients in our day treatment programs come to Northstar Recovery Center from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday and on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Clients participate in groups, weekly individual therapy, daily 12-step meetings, and other evidence-based treatments for addiction.
Our partial day treatment program in Massachusetts is the next step down from day treatment. Rather than participate in therapy for most of the day, clients in our intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) attend three-hour-long treatment sessions on designated treatment days. This reduced time commitment makes it possible for clients to balance other obligations, like work, with addiction therapy. Some clients start their treatment journey in IOP, whereas others step down to IOP after completing day treatment.
Our evening IOP accommodates those who have daytime obligations that may otherwise prevent them from attending substance abuse treatment. For example, those who work or take care of their children during the day. This program meets from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at our West Springfield location and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at our Springfield location.
In addition to in-person treatment, we are proud to offer virtual addiction treatment in Massachusetts covered by insurance. Multiple program options are available, including virtual PHP and virtual IOP. Clients in these programs attend therapy over secure remote sessions, expanding treatment access. Hybrid scheduling is also available (for those who need a mix of online and in-person sessions).
As a dual-diagnosis treatment center in Massachusetts, Northstar Recovery treats co-occurring disorders alongside substance use.
