TRICARE Drug Rehab in Massachusetts
A variety of treatment programs are available at our TRICARE drug rehab in Massachusetts, including in-person, online, and hybrid options. Flexible scheduling lets clients get care on their own time while applying the skills they learn in treatment sessions to their daily lives.
The addiction day treatment programs in Massachusetts at Northstar Recovery Center provide immersive care for substance abuse in an outpatient environment. Our day treatment has a time commitment similar to that of a partial hospitalization program (PHP) or highly intensive outpatient program (HIOP). Clients in day treatment at either Northstar Recovery Center come to our facilities for therapy six days per week. Sessions last from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM on weekdays and from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturdays. A typical treatment schedule for a day treatment client includes group therapy, daily 12-step meetings, individual therapy, family therapy, and other activities.
Our intensive outpatient program in Massachusetts is the next step down from day treatment in intensity. Rather than attend therapy for most of the day, clients in our intensive outpatient program (IOP) come to treatment for just three hours daily. This provides additional time for other responsibilities, like work or school. Clients may start with this level of care or step down to IOP after completing day treatment. Multiple IOP schedules are available on weekdays to accommodate working clients, including morning, afternoon, and evening sessions.
Our evening IOP in Massachusetts meets during the week from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM in Southborough and from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM in West Springfield. While many centers do not offer evening options, we recognize that many individuals are unable to attend therapy during the day due to other life commitments, such as work or caring for their families. This program makes it possible to get the help you need on a schedule that works for you.

Many people in need of substance abuse treatment experience one or more additional mental health concerns. For example, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), grief, depression, or anxiety. Some people with substance use disorders may benefit from FDA-approved medications for addiction. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) refers to the use of medications for substance use disorders combined with therapy services. We have a psychiatric nurse practitioner on-site who is available to prescribe and manage medications, including medications for substance abuse.
