At NorthStar Recovery Center, we offer three primary levels of care. While each is outpatient, meaning that clients do not remain in the facility 24/7, they meet clients where they are and offer significant benefits. Our day treatment program, intensive outpatient program (IOP), and virtual day treatment options are all covered under Tufts Insurance.
Partial hospitalization is the most structured program offered at NorthStar Recovery Center. In our day treatment program, clients spend five days a week in treatment. Each individual’s schedule looks different, as they have unique needs. However, they commonly include a mixture of holistic treatments and traditional treatments.
Clients in the day treatment program commonly live at home or in a sober living facility. They attend treatment throughout the week. This structure provides a significant amount of accountability for clients and is ideal for a client who needs significant structure and support.
IOP is also an outpatient program. Clients can live at home or in a sober living facility. However, compared to our day treatment program, IOP offers more flexibility. Clients spend less time in treatment, have a less structured treatment program, and have more options to adjust their treatment to suit their needs.
For many clients, the lack of flexibility in day treatment offers support and accountability. However, IOP offers the other side of the coin. While clients still spend a significant amount of time in treatment, they have the ability to adjust based on their outside responsibilities at home or at work.
Teletherapy or virtual day treatment offers the highest level of flexibility and the lowest level of support. From the comfort of their own homes, clients can reach out and connect with therapists and other staff at NorthStar Recovery. This level of treatment is ideal for clients who need very little structured support and can help clients stay connected to treatment and their goal of recovery.
